Appealing to the Target Audience!
When we started looking at our target audience, we had to decide what we thought would not just appeal to them but would also help out title
sequence to stand out in an creative way.
The first thing we did was decide how we wanted the title credits to look; the most important aspect of this was choosing the font. This is because we wanted our titles to reflect our sequence so that they linked in terms of theme and genre. We used examples from films such as seven and taken.

Our Mise-en-Scene for this sequence was your stereotypical codes and conventions of a thriller. We had multiple settings that we thought would appeal to a wider audience; such as, an abandoned park, a warehouse, an CSI Office. These are typical places you would see in an film that carries the genre of thriller. Our costume and Makeup was planned out thoroughly. We created the looks of our characters in a way that we thought the audience would like. For example we had the kidnappers wearing real balaclavas to emphasise the realism. During the making of our title sequence, unconventional to a thriller, we never showed a scene in which there is a weapon being used, doing this sparks interest into the audience as it
Our Story line is very appealing to the target audience as it not only features actors of a younger generation that are based or real personalities but because the plot starts of light and then it builds up which is what a good sequence or film is supposed to do.This links to the name of our title sequence 'too late'. we chose this name because we thought it gave off a curious vibe and a sense of wonder. As an audience member i would want to know why is it too late? what is too late? how does this title fit into the conventions of a thriller? and if on seeing the title you automatically know that the genre is thriller, what is the film going to be about?
In any film opening/ title sequence or film, sound is a very important aspect, especially when it comes to promoting and advertising your product. We had to make sure that any kind of sound we used (digetic and non-digectic) fit in with not only the genre that we are portraying but the scene in which the sound is being used in.
As our genre was thriller we had to make sure that the sounds were intense ad that they held suspense; they had to be the type of sounds/music that made an audience member want to both grip their seat and get closer to the screen. We have three main types of sounds going through our title sequence' a heart beat, a string of eery music and a low humming sound which plays throughout. We thought that these sounds would hold the most appeal because they were bold, clear and they fit the them of our sequence.
